I only knew Mars for a short while. I learned a great deal from him during the last several years about sobriety, and in his final months, about facing death with equanimity and dignity. I'm grateful to have known him, and I will never forget his example. RIP Mars, we miss you.
And thanks for the video clip. Having never seen it, I checked and see that I was in Spain when that concert took place; I doubt I'd have forgotten it if I'd attended.
Next time you're coming "home," if you have time, I'd love to get together and buy you a drink, catch up, beat some dead horses, etc.
